MSU grad produces coming-of-age musical debuting Saturday 

 Paul McCartney has inspired thousands of musicians as he’s risen to the top of music’s elite.

It was a McCartney performance, specifically his skills on piano, that inspired the eight-month musical composition and script drafting of “The Key,” the newest performance to hit the metro-Detroit theater scene. It will make its world premier on Saturday, Nov. 20, in Beverly Hills. ...

THE KEY TO HER HEARTAfter years and years of composing, creating, writing and rewriting and producing, Bloomfield Hills resident Cindi Rosner Kelly's full-length musical production, The Key, will make its world premiere right here in Beverly Hills at the Seligman Performing Arts Center-Detroit Country Day School, 22305 W. 13 Mile Road, next weekend. This first-time effort of Kelly's boasts an impressive cast of 30 and another 15 on the production team. Kelly credits the plot — a love story between two Michigan State University students — from her days as an MSU student. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 21.
